The School Cafeteria offers several choices of nutritional lunches each day. Daily choices can include a hot entree, specialty items, and a luncheon salad plate. Components of each will be listed in the cafeteria and extra portions may be purchased along with the meal. In addition, cookies, ice cream, milk, bottled water and different juices are extra items that may be purchased directly from the cashiers. Quantities may be limited at times.
As of July 1, 2005, the process for completing these applications changed. This means that households no longer need to complete a separate application for each student. Instead, they will complete one application listing all household members and identifying students who attend a Fulton County School (FCS).
New Process:
• Parents/guardians must complete one application per household indicating the school attended for each student
• The application should be returned to the school cafeteria manager of the youngest student
• New students to FCS will pay for meals until the household application is approved
• Returning FCS students will maintain last year’s meal status until the application is approved
• The approval process will be completed within 10 days.
For more information about Free and Reduced-Price Meals or the new application process, contact the FCS School Nutrition Program at 404-669-8960. Price for student lunch is $2.25, for reduced lunch $0.40. Our school no longer offers free breakfast for all its students. If students wish to purchase breakfast, the cost is $1.15 for paid breakfast, reduced is $.30 and students who already receive free lunches may receive free breakfasts as well.
Under special circumstances, parents may bring food from restaurants for their child only. Parents may not bring food for other students, even for birthdays. Parents must check-in through the office in order to obtain a visitor’s badge prior to entering the cafeteria.
Lunch prices are subject to change by the Fulton County Board of Education.
